OCERN is dedicated to raising funds for ovarian cancer research in order to further better treatment protocols and ultimately find a cure. OCERN’s Directors and volunteers maintain an active Speaker’s Bureau that focuses on community, professional and academic presentations on ovarian cancer.
Survivors Teaching Students
In 2015, OCERN became a Partner Member representative for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance's Survivor's Teaching Students Program at Standford University's School of Medicine. The goal of Survivors Teaching Students is for future physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and physician assistants to learn from the unique stories of ovarian cancer survivors and be able to diagnose the disease when it is in its earlier, most treatable stages. OCERN also participates in the Survivors Teaching Students program at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
